FAQ
What is sugaring? You mean like a body scrub?
Sugaring is the removal of hair by epilation (at the root). It is done with a sugar paste made from only three ingredients: sugar, water, and lemon.
How long does it last?
About 3-4 weeks. You’ll need an appointment about once every 4 weeks to maintain that smooth look.
How long does it take?
Depending on the parts you want to do, it can take anywhere from 15 minutes (for underarms) to 3.5 hours (for a full body sugaring).
What is the hair like when it grows back? Will there be stubble?
Because hair is being removed at the root, regrowth will appear softer at first, because it is a fresh, new hair coming from the root bulb. There is NO STUBBLE as there is with shaving. You heard that right - NO STUBBLE.
Does it hurt?
Epilation is the removal of hair at the root. There are sensations.
I have sensitive skin. Will I get red spots?
Red spots are not uncommon after your first visit but are preventable with proper after-care – especially in the first 48 hours after your appointment.
What about ingrowns?
Because hair is removed in the direction of growth, ingrowns are uncommon. If you experience any ingrowns, there are products on the market specifically designed to relieve this, which I can recommend.
